Ra Mi Ran Is A Housewife Ready To Get Back To Work In Upcoming Drama

TVING’s new drama “Cruel Intern” (literal translation) has unveiled a teaser poster!

“Cruel Intern” will tell the story of Ko Hae Ra (Ra Mi Ran) who returns to work as an intern after a 7-year hiatus. Ko Hae Ra experiences internal conflict as she receives a secretive and cruel proposal from her successful former colleague Choi Ji Won (Uhm Ji Won) but deals with it by using her years of experience in social life. Ra Mi Ran and Uhm Ji Won will reunite in this project for the first time in 10 years since the film “Hope,” which was released in 2013.

The newly released poster features Ko Hae Ra announcing her return to being employed, sharing, “I’m returning to work as an experienced intern.” Without taking off the pink rubber gloves that are for doing the house chores, Hae Ra puts on her blazer which she has been keeping in her closet for a long time. Although Hae Ra was a competent merchandiser who used to excel at her job seven years ago, she has no choice but to return to work as an intern at the age of her 40s because of her career break. Regardless, Hae Ra’s eyes are firm and charismatic as if she is determined to do better than anyone else at work.

A representative of TVING remarked, “Ra Mi Ran, who has unique acting skills that make viewers relate to her characters, succeeds in getting back to employment. However, [the drama] will depict the reality of Ko Hae Ra who experiences brutal work life again in her 40s in a hyperrealistic way. We expect the drama to provide viewers with feelings of sympathy and comfort at the same time.”
