SF9's Rowoon And Jo Bo Ah Were Madly In Love 300 Years Ago In "Destined With You"

SF9’s Rowoon and Jo Bo Ah’s love will transcend time in the upcoming drama “Destined With You!’

“Destined with You” is a new JTBC romance drama starring Rowoon as Jang Shin Yu, a lawyer bound by a centuries-old curse, and Jo Bo Ah as Lee Hong Jo, a civil servant who holds the key to Jang Shin Yu’s freedom in the form of a banned book that was sealed 300 years ago.

After unexpectedly becoming the owner of an old wooden box, Lee Hong Jo will find herself the only person who can break the curse that has passed down from generation to generation in Jang Shin Yu’s family. When the unexplained illness that has been plaguing Jang Shin Yu suddenly worsens, he asks Lee Hong Jo for her help—and in doing so, turns his life upside down in ways he hadn’t anticipated.

However, newly released stills from the upcoming drama reveal that the fated connection between Jang Shin Yu and Lee Hong Jo didn’t start in modern day. In photos depicting the two characters’ past lives from 300 years ago, the star-crossed couple is visibly smitten with one another as they gaze deeply into each other’s eyes.

Despite the difference in their social status, Jang Shin Yu and Lee Hong Jo only have eyes for one another as they share an emotional embrace.

Hinting at the secret of the couple’s past, Jo Bo Ah shared, “Hong Jo from her past life is very similar to the Hong Jo from present day in terms of how lonely and melancholy she is.”

“The story of Hong Jo and Shin Yu in their past lives will be an extremely crucial point in our drama,” she continued. “Please look forward to the mysterious story of Hong Jo and Shin Yu from their past lives.”

Meanwhile, Rowoon remarked, “I hope you’ll keep an eye on the incantation that links Hong Jo and Shin Yu in the drama.”

“Destined with You” will premiere on August 23 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
