Jungkook Breaks BTS's Record For Song With Most Weeks At No. 1 On Billboard Global 200 By Korean Act

BTS’s Jungkook has set an exciting new record on Billboard’s Global 200!

Back in July, Jungkook made history as the first Korean soloist to simultaneously debut a song at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, Global 200, and Global Excl. U.S. chart when his new solo single “Seven” (featuring Latto) entered all three charts at No. 1.

However, it looks as though “Seven” isn’t done breaking records just yet. For the week ending on August 26, “Seven” continued its reign at No. 1 on both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts for the fifth consecutive week, making Jungkook the first Korean solo artist ever to top either chart for five weeks.

“Seven” has now become the first song by a Korean artist ever to spend five weeks at No. 1 on the Global 200, breaking the previous record held by BTS’s 2020 hit “Dynamite” (which spent four weeks at No. 1).

Additionally, “Seven” spent its fifth consecutive week in the top 30 of Billboard’s Hot 100, where it ranked No. 30 this week—making “Seven” the first song by a Korean soloist to spend its first five weeks in the top 30.

“Seven” also held steady at its peak of No. 19 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States, in addition to ranking No. 33 in its fifth week on the Streaming Songs chart.

Congratulations to Jungkook on his ongoing success on the Billboard charts!
