BTS's Jungkook Sets Record On UK's Official Singles Chart As 'Seven' Spends 10th Week In Top 40

BTS’s Jungkook continues to make K-pop history in the United Kingdom!

Back in July, Jungkook achieved the highest-ranking debut of any song by a Korean soloist on the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart (widely regarded as the U.K. equivalent of Billboard’s Hot 100 in the United States) when his official solo debut single “Seven” entered the chart at No. 3.

Months later, the song is still holding strong in the top 40—and on September 22 local time, the Official Charts revealed that “Seven” was spending its 10th consecutive week on the Official Singles Chart at No. 34.

With this achievement, “Seven” has now become the first song by any Korean soloist to spend its first 10 weeks in the top 40 of the Official Singles Chart. Jungkook is also only the second Korean soloist ever to chart a song for 10 weeks in the top 40 at all, following PSY.

Additionally, “Seven” stayed strong at No. 74 in its 10th consecutive week on the Official Streaming Chart.

Congratulations to Jungkook!
