NewJeans Becomes 1st K-Pop Girl Group To Chart An Album For 10 Weeks In Top 60 Of Billboard 200

NewJeans continues to set new records on the Billboard charts with their latest album!

Two months ago, NewJeans made history as the fastest female K-pop act ever to debut on the Billboard 200 when their second mini album “Get Up” entered the chart at No. 1—and the EP has proven the group’s popularity by holding steady in the top 60 in the weeks since.

NewJeans has now become the first female K-pop artist ever to chart an album for 10 consecutive weeks in the top 60 of the Billboard 200: for the week ending on October 7, “Get Up” ranked No. 60 in its 10th week on the chart.

“Get Up” also spent its ninth non-consecutive week at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Albums chart this week, making it the first K-pop girl group album ever to top the chart for nine weeks.

Additionally, NewJeans’ hit single “Super Shy” returned to its peak of No. 37 in its fourth week on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States.

Meanwhile, “Get Up” swept the No. 10 spot on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart in its 10th week on both charts.

Over on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Super Shy” stayed strong at No. 17 this week, followed by “ETA” at No. 37, “OMG” at No. 102, “Ditto” at No. 119, and “Hype Boy” at No. 150. On the Global 200, “Super Shy” came in at No. 30, “ETA” at No. 74, and “OMG” at No. 177.

Finally, NewJeans took No. 43 on this week’s Artist 100, marking their 14th overall week on the chart.

Congratulations to NewJeans on their historic achievements!
