Choi Hyun Wook's Agency Comments Regarding Fine For Improper Cigarette Disposal
Choi Hyun Wook’s agency has commented regarding the actor paying a fine for improperly disposing of cigarette butts on a public street.
On October 12, an official from the Gangnam District Office in Seoul shared with Korean news outlet Sports Kyunghyang, “We have reviewed the video of [Choi Hyun Wook’s] unauthorized disposal of cigarette butts and relevant evidence. Subsequently, we initiated the fine imposition process in accordance with Article 8, Paragraph 1 of the Waste Management Act.”
Choi Hyun Wook’s agency Gold Medalist issued an official statement in response, saying, “After confirming the video footage, we looked up the fine procedures and have completed the fine payment. We apologize once again for causing concerns.”
Recently, a video of Choi Hyun Wook tossing a cigarette butt on a public street gained attention online. In response to the ensuing criticism, Choi Hyun Wook personally apologized with a handwritten letter, expressing regret for his actions.
