VIXX's N (Cha Hak Yeon) Apologizes To Fans For Sitting Out Group's Upcoming Comeback

VIXX’s N (Cha Hak Yeon) has shared a handwritten letter apologizing for not joining the rest of the group for their upcoming comeback.

On November 5, Jellyfish Entertainment officially announced that VIXX would be making their long-awaited group comeback on November 21. However, fans were surprised to learn that only three members of the group—Leo, Ken, and Hyuk—would be taking part in the comeback, without the participation of leader N.

That same day, N posted the following apology for sitting out the group’s comeback:

Dear Starlights,

Because I am at such a loss for how to put this into words, I am having trouble writing, but after hesitating for a long time, I am finally mustering up the courage.

I apologize for the fact that because I am unable to participate in promotions for this upcoming album, I will not be able to greet you on stage through VIXX’s performances. Even up until today, as I say this, my heart is very heavy. Because as a result of the letters and messages you always send me, I am not unaware of Starlights’ feelings and burdens.

Seeing our fans go through a hard time due to waiting indefinitely, I worried about whether I was creating a burden for [our fans] and also the members who are currently keeping VIXX going.

I spent a long time talking and discussing with the other members, but in the end, I wound up being unable to join this upcoming comeback as VIXX’s leader N, and I’m sorry for once again disappointing the fans who must have been greatly looking forward to [the group comeback].

To my Starlights who must have suffered all this time because of me, as well as Taekwoon [Leo], Jaehwan [Ken], and Hyuk, who still recognize me as VIXX’s eldest member and worry together with me, I’m sincerely grateful, and I’m also very sorry. In light of those feelings, even though I can’t join [the group] for this album’s activities, I will be cheering you on with all my heart, in the hopes that the new memories VIXX and Starlights create together will be recorded beautifully.

The entirety of my twenties were filled by VIXX, and even now, in my thirties, I will not forget that my roots are VIXX. I will do my utmost to repay you by showing you good things.

I am always grateful, and thank you.

The rest of VIXX will be returning with their fifth mini album “CONTINUUM” on November 21 at 6 p.m. KST.
