Jungkook Overtakes BTS And BLACKPINK To Become K-Pop Artist With Most No. 1 Songs On Spotify Global Chart

BTS’s Jungkook has just set an impressive new record on Spotify!

On November 7, Jungkook’s new title track “Standing Next to You” rose to No. 1 on Spotify’s daily Global Top Songs chart for the first time, making it his third solo song to top the chart. Jungkook previously reached No. 1 with his singles “Seven” (featuring Latto) and “3D” (featuring Jack Harlow) earlier this year.

Notably, Jungkook is the first K-pop artist in history to top Spotify’s global chart with three different songs. With this achievement, he has now overtaken his own group BTS and BLACKPINK—both of whom have two No. 1 songs each—to become the K-pop artist with the most No. 1 songs to date on Spotify’s Global Top Songs chart.

Jungkook also continues to extend his own record as the K-pop artist with the most days at No. 1 on Spotify’s global chart, where he has now spent a combined total of 73 days at No. 1 (across all his solo songs).

Meanwhile, Jungkook’s official solo debut single “Seven” recently became the fastest song in Spotify history to surpass 1 billion streams, breaking the previous record set by Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers.”

Congratulations to Jungkook on another historic achievement!
