“Believer” is a 2018 crime thriller about a low-level drug dealer named Rak (Ryu Jun Yeol) who has been abandoned by his organization as he conspires with the dangerously ambitious cop Won Ho (Jo Jin Woong) to bring down Asia’s largest drug cartel. In addition to Ryu Jun Yeol and Jo Jin Woong, the film also starred Kim Sung Ryung, Park Hae Joon, Cha Seung Won, and the late Kim Joo Hyuk. “Believer 2” will depict Won Ho’s journey of searching for Rak who has gone missing.
In the new movie, Oh Seung Hoon will be taking over Ryu Jun Yeol’s role as Rak. Cha Seung Won will return as the drug cartel’s hidden big force Brian, while Han Hyo Joo will be joining the sequel as a new character called “Big Knife” (literal translation of “Keun Kal”), Mr. Lee’s right-hand woman who comes from China to resolve the chaos instigated by Rak and Won Ho.
The newly released stills depict the intense moments of the characters surrounding Mr. Lee. Detective Won Ho is fully engrossed in his quest to apprehend the elusive Mr. Lee, who he firmly believes is not Brian and remains at large. Viewers are left in suspense, eager to discover how Detective Won Ho will navigate the pursuit of Mr. Lee.
In other stills, Brian appears disheveled, clad in a hospital gown and confined to a wheelchair. The stills offer a glimpse into the intricate storyline of “Believer 2” that delves deeper into Brian’s character. Despite his weakened appearance, Brian’s resolute expression and fiery gaze reveal his unyielding determination and longing for a second chance even in the face of crisis.
Of particular note are the preview photos showcasing the introduction of the new character Big Knife, who commands her gang with an intense and formidable appearance, piquing viewers’ anticipation for Han Hyo Joo’s drastic transformation for the role.
Lastly, Rak is seen covered in blood and forcibly escorted away by an ominous and ruthless-looking organization, leaving viewers intrigued about the tumultuous journey he undertakes in pursuit of Mr. Lee.
