Cho Yi Hyun Is Desperate To Rescue Rowoon In "The Matchmakers"

KBS2’s “The Matchmakers” has unveiled new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!

“The Matchmakers” tells the story of the meeting between the young widower Shim Jung Woo (Rowoon) and young widow Jung Soon Deok (Cho Yi Hyun) as well as the struggle the two go through together to marry off Joseon era’s unmarried women and men who are considered older than the typical prime age range.

Previously, Shim Jung Woo fell off a cliff into a river after being hit with an arrow, and Jung Soon Deok also jumped in to save Shim Jung Woo.

The newly released stills depict Jung Soon Deok worrying for an unconscious Shim Jung Woo while trying her best to revive him. With a shocked expression, Jung Soon Deok desperately shakes Shim Jung Woo awake, and a barley conscious Shim Jung Woo meets Jung Soon Deok’s gaze.

Jung Soon Deok cries and suddenly bursts into anger afterwards. However, she is shocked after hearing Shim Jung Woo’s unexpected words. Viewers are curious to find out why Jung Soon Deok will shed tears after saving Shim Jung Woo and how their relationship will develop afterwards.

During filming, Rowoon and Cho Yi Hyun showcased great chemistry and teamwork for the underwater shoot, working passionately to check their movements in order to portray the tense scene. They also discussed in depth how to portray the subtle changes in emotions that Shim Jung Woo and Jung Soon Deok experience.

The production team added that the two actors stayed positive all throughout the shoot despite the strenuous filming, expressing their gratitude to the actors for creating a great atmosphere on set.
