Rowoon And Cho Yi Hyun Launch 3 Unique Matchmaking Operations In “The Matchmakers”

KBS2’s “The Matchmakers” has unveiled new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!

“The Matchmakers” tells the story of the meeting between the young widower Shim Jung Woo (Rowoon) and young widow Jung Soon Deok (Cho Yi Hyun) as well as the struggle the two go through together to marry off Joseon era’s unmarried women and men who are considered older than the typical prime age range.

Previously, Shim Jung Woo announced that he would be breaking his matchmaking contract with Jung Soon Deok after mistaking her for the murderer. However, Jung Soon Deok later explained that Mrs. Yeo Joo (Park Hwan Hee) was falsely accused as the murderer and expressed her intent to continue the matchmaking operation with Shim Jung Woo.

In the upcoming episode of “The Matchmakers,” the focus shifts to the second phase of Shim Jung Woo and Jung Soon Deok’s grand matchmaking operations. The newly unveiled stills capture their endeavors to devise three distinct plans to ensure that Maeng Ha Na (Jung Shin Hye), Maeng Doo Ri (Park Ji Won), and Maeng Sam Soon (Jung Bo Min) successfully receive Napchae (a ceremony where the groom’s family sends the engagement letter to the bride’s house).

As Shim Jung Woo sends encouraging glances to the potential husbands, Jung Soon Deok, who has been serving as the enthusiastic mentor to the Maeng sisters, observes them with anticipation.

Maeng Ha Na prepares for the operation with an elegant smile, Maeng Doo Ri wears a bewildered expression, and the third sister Maeng Sam Soon sports a passionate gaze. While Jung Soon Deok proudly watches the sisters practice, Shim Jung Woo is focusing on her rather than the operation, directing a warm gaze toward her.

The production team commented, “In the upcoming episode, the blurry love lines of the three Maeng sisters will gradually come into focus. The suspenseful pursuit of love for the sisters and their potential husbands will deliver both excitement and surprises. Please look forward to it.”
