Lee Jong Won and Lee Ki Woo Are Closer Than Real Brothers In 'Knight Flower'

MBC’s upcoming drama “Knight Flower” (also known as “Flower That Blooms at Night”) has shared stills of Lee Jong Won and Lee Ki Woo!

Set in the Joseon era, “Knight Flower” is an action-comedy drama starring Honey Lee as Jo Yeo Hwa, a woman who has lived a quiet and modest life as a virtuous widow by day for 15 years. However, she is secretly leading a double life: at night, she valiantly sneaks out to help those in need.

Lee Jong Won will star in the drama as Park Soo Ho, a military officer with a sharp mind and exceptional combat skills. On top of these strengths, he also has a gentle personality and upstanding character.

Lee Ki Woo will play the role of Park Yoon Hak, who studied and grew up together with King Yi So (Heo Jung Do) since they were young. As the king’s close friend and loyal subject, Park Yoon Hak fulfills his responsibilities and helps King Yi So secretly by his side.

Park Soo Ho loses his father and mother at the hands of assassins at a young age but is saved by Park Yoon Hak and becomes part of his family. Park Yoon Hak, who becomes like an older brother to Park Soo Ho, has a tsundere (cold outward behavior while actually warm and caring) personality. He is seemingly indifferent, but he worries about Park Soo Ho’s well-being.

The released stills depict Park Soo Ho and Park Yoon Hak. In one photo, they are captured standing side-by-side dressed in hanbok (Korean traditional clothing), while in another photo, Park Soo Ho and Park Yoon Hak, who are working together to uncover a hidden conspiracy, are captured sitting down with serious expressions on their faces, making viewers curious about their stories and what they’re up against.

Park Soo Ho and Park Yoon Hak, who have everything from looks to talents, will not only showcase their exceptional friendship but will also impress and entertain with their unique bromance.

The production team of “Knight Flower” commented, “Despite this being Lee Jong Won and Lee Ki Woo’s first-ever historical drama, they will add strength to the drama by perfectly embodying their characters. Also, the complex relationship between their characters, who seem to support each other but also keep each other in check, will further solidify the narrative of the drama. In addition, their bromance chemistry will grow stronger with each episode, so please look forward to it.”

“Knight Flower” will premiere on January 12, 2024 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
