4 Crucial Confrontations That Happened In Episode 11 Of

The cat is out of the bag, and as we get to know the past story of the main leads, it is also time for them to face the truth head on. If the previous episode of “A Good Day to Be a Dog” took us far from the lovey-dovey scenario that’s been enjoyable so far, then this one is taking an even darker path. But don’t worry, we shall find our little rainbow at the end of the road. Here are four moments where the Seo-Hae couple had to endure some important confrontations that were crucial in the drama.

Warning: spoilers from episode 11 below!

1. Lee Bo Kyum confessing he is the god who has cursed Han Hae Na’s family

One of the most emotional parts of this drama has been the story of Hae Na’s uncle as he never broke his curse and remained in his dog form. He and the rest of the family have been battling with the constant fear of losing him earlier on. Although the end of episode 10 hinted that Lee Bo Kyum (Lee Hyun Woo) would start his revenge on Han Hae Na (Park Gyu Young) with her uncle’s death, instead he momentarily lifts the curse by turning him into a human. But he brings back their hopes only to crush them down once again and reveal to her the truth: he is the mountain god who cursed her family and is seeking revenge.

As Hae Na can’t quite believe what he is saying, he changes Hae Na’s sister into a dog in front of her eyes to prove his point. That’s when she realizes he has been close to them for a very long time. Despite the shock of this revelation, it is still a little unclear what exactly Lee Bo Kyum is looking for and what he is aiming at. But one thing is sure, neither Hae Na nor her family are safe.

2. Jin Seo Won demanding explanations to Lee Bo Kyum

After Hae Na finds an old picture that shows Lee Bo Kyum being near her when she was still a child, she lets Jin Seo Won (Cha Eun Woo) know the truth. And this makes him wonder what the real reason behind all the pain he has caused to Hae Na’s family is. It seems like a difficult thing to process for Seo Won as he has seen Lee Bo Kyum as a close friend for a long time, which is why he doesn’t hesitate to go and demand an explanation.

In the tense moment where Seo Won is asking why he put that curse on Hae Na, Lee Bo Kyum brings back one of Seo Won’s memories. More precisely, it’s the exact moment when his fear of dogs started, and he realizes that it was Lee Bo Kyum who saved him back then. It is confusing how he so clearly watched over him and Hae Na ever since their childhood, and yet he is so fixated on getting revenge for the pain of the past, even when the reincarnation of Cho Young (Kim Yi Kyung), Lee Bo Kyum’s past love, is so close to him.

3. Hae Na asking Bo Kyum why he is causing pain to her family again

So clearly at her limit and with her uncle back as a dog, there are still so many questions about why all of this is happening now. Hae Na confronts Lee Bo Kyum, who awakens the memories from her past life after naming her “Mak Soon,” which was her name back then. He offers her two choices: she can either lose her uncle and continue the curse of her family, or she can sacrifice her love for Seo Won and save them.

Jumping back to Seo Won, who is frantically looking for Hae Na, he ends up confronting Lee Bo Kyum again without an ounce of fear, probably bringing his ancient sense of heroism from his past life. When Seo Won knows what Lee Bo Kyum is threatening Hae Na with, he assures him that no matter what he does, Seo Won’s feelings for Hae Na will stay the same, to which Lee Bo Kyum only can laugh at as he is well aware how destructive memories can be.

4. Jin Seo Won telling Han Hae Na to save her uncle’s life

In a heart-wrenching scene where they travel to a nearby beach, Seo Won makes his decision and asks Hae Na to save her uncle, assuring her that he will fall in love with her again because it is a path he once took. To prove this, the drama shows more of how they fell in love in their past life. And it is very endearing seeing how they not only fell deeply in love, but that they had plans to run away and be happy together. However, as we already know, the treason and politics from the time prevented them from making it happen.

As Mak Soon discovers Soo Hyun (Seo Won’s past self) would be beheaded for helping Cho Young escape, she reveals her whereabouts in an attempt to save his life, which ultimately grants her child the curse to turn into a dog when they kiss their loved ones. In the end of the episode, we see Seo Won and Hae Na crossing paths again, only to shockingly reveal that it’s not Seo Won who loses his memories but Hae Na. This makes it clear that the struggles won’t end that easily for our Seo-Hae couple, and we can only accompany them along the way in the remaining episodes of “A Good Day to Be a Dog.”
