Lee Ji Ah Dishes On Her "Queen Of Divorce" Character

Actress Lee Ji Ah has shared how she prepared for her role in the upcoming drama “Queen of Divorce”!

“Queen of Divorce” follows the story of Sara Kim (Lee Ji Ah), Korea’s greatest divorce problem solver, and eccentric lawyer Dong Ki Joon (Kang Ki Young) as they fearlessly bring justice to “bad spouses” with their solutions.

On why she chose to star in “Queen of Divorce,” Lee Ji Ah revealed, “I liked the fact that it offers unique solutions to people who have been robbed of their happiness due to the fear of divorce.”

She continued, “I was especially [drawn to] Sara Kim because she is a courageous person who is able to face her pain and fears and rise back up even stronger than before.”

In the drama, Sara Kim goes from being the daughter-in-law of the family behind the top law firm in Korea to a divorce problem solver after losing everything overnight.

Explaining how she prepared for the character, who experiences a wide range of emotions, Lee Ji Ah shared, “When playing Sara Kim, I focused on the true personality of Sara before her marriage, as well as the things that happened to her, and I tried to stay true to her emotions.”

She added, “Sara Kim is someone who lived by suppressing her bright and bubbly side to adopt a different persona, so after she became a divorce problem solver, I tried to portray who she used to be and what her original personality was.”
