Watch: Popular Rookie Girl Group Main Vocalist Covers BIGBANG And Park Bom On "The King Of Mask Singer"
On the latest episode of “The King of Mask Singer,” the identity of “Pizza and Cola” was revealed!
During the January 21 broadcast of the MBC singing competition, four contestants moved on to the next round in their quest to challenge the reigning champion for the throne.
In the first match-up of Round 2, Pizza and Cola impressed the audience with a soulful rendition of 2NE1’s Park Bom’s solo song “YOU AND I.” The masked singer previously covered another YG Entertainment song in Round 1, when she performed a duet version of BIGBANG’s iconic hit “Lies.”
Pizza and Cola also previously performed a dance cover medley of various girl group hits, taking on the choreographies to miss A’s “Bad Girl, Good Girl,” IZ*ONE’s “La Vie en Rose,” and IVE’s “ELEVEN.”

Although Pizza and Cola earned praise for her vocals, she ultimately lost the round to her opponent by just 13 votes.
When she took off her mask to reveal her identity, Pizza and Cola turned out to be DaHyun, one of the main vocalists of the rookie girl group tripleS.
After host Kim Sung Joo pointed out that tripleS had recently won Best New Artist at the 2023 MAMA Awards, DaHyun revealed that her dance cover medley from Round 1 had actually been a clue to her identity.
“Actually, the dance medley I showed you during Round 1 was all [debut songs] by senior groups that had won the Best New Artist award,” she explained.
DaHyun also shared that because there were so many members in tripleS, it had been easy to hide the fact that she was appearing on “The King of Mask Singer” from her bandmates.
“Because we have so many units,” she said with a laugh, “I told one unit that I was going to go practice with the other unit, and then I told that unit that I was going to go practice with the other one.”
Finally, when asked to share her goals for the future, DaHyun replied, “Last year, we won Best New Artist, which was such an honor. So this year, my goal is for us to win a Bonsang [main award].”
