NewJeans Ties BLACKPINK's Record On Billboard 200 For Longest-Charting K-Pop Girl Group Album

NewJeans’ “Get Up” has now spent half a year on the Billboard 200!

Back when it was first released last year, NewJeans’ latest mini album “Get Up” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, making them the fastest female K-pop artist ever to enter the chart.

On January 23 local time, Billboard revealed that the EP was now spending its 26th consecutive week on the Billboard 200, where it ranked No. 197 this week.

“Get Up” is now tied with BLACKPINK’s 2020 album “THE ALBUM” for the longest-charting K-pop girl group album in Billboard 200 history, with both albums having spent 26 weeks on the chart.

Notably, NewJeans is only the third K-pop artist in history to chart an album for 26 weeks on the Billboard 200, following BTS and BLACKPINK.

“Get Up” also held relatively steady at No. 3 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, No. 18 on the Top Album Sales chart, and No. 24 on the Top Current Album Sales chart this week, in addition to re-entering the Tastemaker Albums chart at No. 15.

On Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Super Shy” stayed strong at No. 79, “OMG” at No. 93, “Ditto” at No. 94, and “ETA” at No. 154. On the Global 200, “Super Shy” came in at No. 121,“OMG” at No. 179, and “Ditto” at No. 184.

Meanwhile, NewJeans ranked No. 94 on Billboard’s Artist 100 this week, marking their 21st non-consecutive week on the chart.

Congratulations to NewJeans!
