"Past Lives" Nominated For Best Picture And Original Screenplay At 2024 Academy Awards

“Past Lives” is in the running for two of the “Big Five” awards at this year’s Oscars!

On January 23 local time, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 96th annual Academy Awards.

“Past Lives,” which was both written and directed by Celine Song in her feature directorial debut, has been nominated for both Best Picture and Original Screenplay this year.

Starring Greta Lee and Yoo Teo (the latter of whom recently became the first Korean male ever to be nominated for an acting award at the BAFTA Film Awards), “Past Lives” tells the story of two childhood sweethearts who are briefly reunited in New York after decades apart.

The 96th annual Academy Awards will air live from Hollywood on March 10 local time.
