4 Problems That Lomon Had To Face In Episodes 5-8 Of

When it comes to K-dramas that involve a fantastic event like switching bodies between the main leads, there’s bound to be some chaos. However, it seems that “Branding in Seongsu” is set to have a whole new level of chaos with Kang Na Eon (Kim Ji Eun) taking over So Eun Ho’s (Lomon) body. Thankfully the plot is moving at a rather fast pace, and this week we got to see a lot happening from the very beginning. Let’s dive into the problems that So Eun Ho, or best Kang Na Eon, had to face in this week’s episodes.

Warning: spoilers from episodes 5-8 below.

1. Finding out who tried to kill Kang Na Eon

Kang Na Eon is clearly the type of pragmatic person who wouldn’t be fazed even in the strangest of situations, which is proven the moment she wakes up in the body of So Eun Ho. The first thing she does is start to figure out who the person behind the murder intent against her is. Apart from this, she is now aware that her enemies are a lot more dangerous than she had predicted, and somehow they’ve managed to cover up the case as a suicide attempt, which means she has to uncover everything before it’s too late.

As she has no time to lose, she starts to act right away, but not before making a small trip to a clothing store where she can get the perfect attire for her new body. Once she is settled and ready to go, she starts to draw a few hypotheses over who would be the culprit, deciding that the most obvious answer would be Do Yu Mi (Yang Hye Ji), the person who benefited the most after her fall. This takes her right into Seongsu agency, where she sees for herself the extension of the changes that have happened in a short month.

2. Joining the underdog team in Seongsu agency

Once she goes back to the agency, she finds that Do Yu Mi is the new team leader of her former team, and So Eun Ho has been demoted to the underdog team, which is the place no one wants to join since it is where Kang Na Eon places the least competent employees. Despite this less than ideal setting, she is determined to discover the truth, and nothing – not even Do Yu Mi, her lacking team, nor the fact that she is in a man’s body – will stop her.

She quickly shows her skills and knowledge about marketing, putting all of her resources in action in order to overpower those who are above her. However, this time around things don’t go as smoothly as she hopes for, partially because her team is rather uncooperative towards her way of working, but also due to her complete inability to trust and rely on someone other than herself. She starts to clash right away with her coworkers, showing that she doesn’t have a very open mindframe when it comes to working with other people.

3. Fighting Do Yu Mi for the shoe factory’s rebranding project

One of the biggest problems that Kang Na Eon as So Eun Ho has to face is the project that involves the rebranding of the shoe factory that she so desperately fought to get rid of while working with the makeup company that helped with her dismissal. With this new challenge also comes the feud with Do Yu Mi, who despite being in the place she always wanted, is still struggling with the shadow of Kang Na Eon.

With everything against her, she has to look for new ways to approach her job. It ultimately comes with a little bit of character development when she sees that her team is not as incompetent as she thought and that they all do their very best in their own ways. This comes as a win for her when her strategy succeeds in bringing back to life the factory and positioning it into the public’s attention, despite every effort of Do Yu Mi trying to sabotage her.

4. Switching bodies with Kang Na Eon

While trying to figure out all of the above, Kang Na Eon is close to discovering the bunny-masked man who attacked her, but as it would leave us without more mystery for the rest of the drama, the culprit escapes at the last minute. However, this leads to So Eun Ho finally waking up, making a dramatic appearance in the Seongsu agency, where he discovers that he and Kang Na Eon have switched bodies.

This starts a hilarious exchange between them, where surprisingly the bossy and direct personality of Kang Na Eon really suits the body of So Eun Ho, whilst the dorky and cheerful character of So Eun Ho brings a totally cute side in Kang Na Eon. And although the change is truly welcome for the viewers, they immediately try to go back to their own bodies, and the only way they come up with at that moment is sharing a kiss again, leaving us with an illegal cliffhanger until next week of “Branding in Seongsu.”
