Watch: Ham Eun Jung, Baek Sung Hyun, And More Impress At New Drama Script Reading

KBS1’s upcoming weekday drama “Su Ji and U Ri” has shared a sneak peek of actors at the first script reading!

“Su Ji and U Ri” follows the heartwarming and relatable romantic story of star doctor Jin Su Ji (Ham Eun Jung), who falls from her peak, and novice doctor Chae U Ri (Baek Sung Hyun) as they build a family.

The main cast members including Ham Eun Jung, Baek Sung Hyun, Oh Hyun Kyung, Kang Byul, Shin Jung Yoon, Sunwoo Jae Duk, and more attended the script reading, showcasing passionate acting.

Ham Eun Jung takes on the role of Jin Su Ji, a psychiatrist who is one of the most sought out doctors on television. Carrying the wound of being abandoned by her mother at a young age, Jin Su Ji works twice as hard as anyone else so that she doesn’t get abandoned.

Baek Sung Hyun transforms into Chae U Ri, who is not only polite but also humorous and just. As an ideal figure, Chae U Ri considers the understanding and trust of patients to be more important than his personal success and desires. Chae U Ri and Jin Su Ji bicker with each other at every chance they get.

Oh Hyun Kyung plays the role of Chae Sun Young, the owner and chef of a Korean restaurant. The making-of clip previews Chae Sun Young in a coma due to a past accident, raising curiosity as to her tangled family relationship that will unravel in the future.

In addition, more actors with solid acting skills including Kang Byul, Shin Jung Yoon, Sunwoo Jae Duk, Kim Hee Jung, Yoon Da Hoon, and more showcased their flawless performances, raising anticipation for the drama.

After the script reading was finished, Ham Eun Jung remarked, “I think it’s a heartwarming drama that allows us to feel the warm love of family and think about the people around us.” Co-star Baek Sung Hyun also expressed his anticipation for the drama by saying, “When the script reading alone is [this much] fun, I think it will be very enjoyable for viewers when it goes on air.”
