Kim Hye Yoon Goes Back In Time To Save Her Bias Byun Woo Seok In "Lovely Runner"

tvN has unveiled two new posters for its upcoming drama “Lovely Runner”!

Based on a popular web novel and penned by “True Beauty” writer Lee Si Eun, “Lovely Runner” is a new time-slip romance drama that asks the question: “What would you do if you had the opportunity to save your ultimate bias?”

Kim Hye Yoon will star in the drama as Im Sol, a devoted fan who is devastated by the death of her favorite artist Ryu Sun Jae (played by Byun Woo Seok) and winds up going back in time to 2008 in order to save him.

In the first poster, Im Sol openly expresses her affection for Ryu Sun Jae. Wearing a headband with Sun Jae’s name on it, Im Sol passionately jumps on him and throws her arms around him with no intention of letting go—and her bold display of affection leads him to crack a shy smile.

The poster’s caption also highlights Im Sol’s determination to change Ryu Sun Jae’s tragic fate, reading, “From now on, I’m going to stay right by your side and protect you!”

The second poster captures two contrasting moments between its leads. In the first image, Im Sol holds a yellow umbrella over Ryu Sun Jae’s head with a sunny smile, while in the second, it’s Ryu Sun Jae that protects Im Sol from the rain with a blue umbrella.

The caption reads, “No matter what, I’m going to protect [us]! Both you and me!”

“The umbrella poster captures the turning point in Ryu Sun Jae and Im Sol’s romance, which jumps 15 years in time,” said the drama’s production team. “It will be fun to compare the difference between the real 2008 and the 2008 to which the 34-year-old Im Sol travels after going back 15 years in time.”

They went on, “Please look forward to the acting and chemistry of the two leads, who will depict a fate-like ‘salvation romance’ that sometimes make your heart flutter and sometimes tugs at your heartstrings.”

“Lovely Runner” premieres on April 8 at 8:50 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
