BTS's Jungkook Makes Billboard 200 History As 1st Korean Soloist To Chart An Album For 20 Weeks

Nearly five months after its release, BTS’s Jungkook’s solo debut album continues to make history on the Billboard 200!

On March 26 local time, Billboard revealed that Jungkook’s album “GOLDEN” had successfully remained on the Billboard 200 at No. 113, marking its 20th consecutive week on the chart.

“GOLDEN” has now become the first album by a Korean solo artist ever to spend 20 weeks on the Billboard 200—and it also stayed strong at No. 24 on Billboard’s Top Current Album Sales chart and No. 36 on the Top Album Sales chart in its 20th week.

Meanwhile, Jungkook extended his own record as the longest-charting K-pop soloist on Billboard’s Artist 100, where he ranked No. 68 in his 32nd week on the chart.

Jungkook’s title track “Standing Next to You” also held relatively steady at No. 9 in its 20th week on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, meaning it was the ninth best-selling song of the week in the United States.

Additionally, “Standing Next To You” took No. 27 in its 14th consecutive week on the Pop Airplay chart (which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States).

Finally, all three of Jungkook’s singles from “GOLDEN” climbed back up both of Billboard’s global charts this week. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, “Seven” (featuring Latto) rose to No. 22, “Standing Next to You” to No. 35, and “3D” (featuring Jack Harlow) to No. 101. On the Global 200, “Seven” rose to No. 42, “Standing Next to You” to No. 51, and “3D” to No. 146.

Congratulations to Jungkook on his new Billboard records!
