TWICE's Dahyun Confirmed To Make Acting Debut In Film Starring Ha Seok Jin + Lee Shin Young Reported To Join
Ha Seok Jin and TWICE’s Dahyun will be starring in a new film together!
On May 2, Sports DongA reported that Dahyun received an offer to star in the independent feature film “Sprint” (literal title). In response to the reports, a source from JYP Entertainment confirmed, “She has been cast for the project, and she is preparing for filming.”
“Sprint” is a heartwarming sports film helmed by director Lee Seung Hoon that depicts the story of those who tirelessly run with impossible dreams in their hearts. The film will resonate with viewers through the narrative of one person who regrets the past due to continued failure as they look back on their footsteps and realize their value.
Ha Seok Jin is confirmed to star as Kang Goo Young, who broke Korea’s 100 meter track record for the first time in 30 years. However, contrary to high expectations, 10 years pass by, and he approaches the end of his heyday, no longer finding running to be enjoyable and regretting the path he walked in life. The character of Kang Goo Young is based on athlete Kim Kuk Young, who won the bronze medal for the first time in 37 years in the 400 meter relay.
OSEN further reported that Lee Shin Young will also be starring in the film. According to the report, Lee Shin Young will be playing the passionate sprinter Seung Yeol. Although he once dreamed of becoming a soccer player, he somehow ends up on the track, finding happiness there and sprinting forward.
