“Bitter Sweet Hell” is a new black comedy starring Kim Hee Sun as Noh Young Won, the top family psychiatrist in all of Korea. When an anonymous blackmailer puts Young Won’s career and family at risk, she teams up with her mother-in-law Hong Sa Gang (Lee Hye Young), a mystery novelist, to protect their family. The drama is a collaboration between writer Nam Ji Yeon of “So I Married the Anti-Fan” and producing director Lee Dong Hyun, who helmed “Doctor Lawyer” and “She Knows Everything.”

2PM’s Chansung will play Noh Young Min, Noh Young Won’s mischievous younger brother. Noh Young Min may seem like an immature younger brother who lives off his older sister without even having a decent job, but he actually cares for her more than anyone else and always takes her side. With his natural positive attitude, he is a lovable goofball who both annoys and comforts Noh Young Won.

The first set of stills depicts Noh Young Min talking on the phone. He initially answers the phone with a nonchalant expression, but his eyes later widen in shock and his expression turns serious.

Dressed in a vibrant red outfit, In the next set of photos, Noh Young Min exudes confidence and charisma dressed in a vibrant red outfit. He then suddenly bursts into an awkward laugh as if trying to make light of the situation.

Talking about why he chose to star in “Bitter Sweet Hell,” Chansung revealed, “When I first read the script, it was really fun, but what stood out even more was the chemistry between the actors, such as Kim Hee Sun and Lee Hye Young. It felt much more three-dimensional than other dramas, and the overall vib was very new.” He added, “I was particularly excited about the opportunity to play Kim Hee Sun’s younger brother.”

On how he prepared for his role as Noh Young Min, Chansung explained, “The character of Noh Young Min may come across as annoying due to his immaturity, but I believe that his unwavering support for his sister could also be seen as a charming point. I wanted to make sure that viewers would understand and appreciate that part of him, so I made a conscious effort to differentiate him from other characters by portraying that aspect of him in a cute and endearing manner.”

He added, “I also went for vibrant colors for Noh Young Min’s costumes. I discussed it with the director and said that I wanted Noh Young Min’s outfits to be more stylish and colorful. I also wanted his hair to be styled well so that he didn’t look too ordinary.”

The production team of “Bitter Sweet Hell” commented, “Chansung will showcase his unique charm to the fullest through the character of Noh Young Min. Please look forward to Chansung’s passionate performance in ‘Bitter Sweet Hell.'”
