Yoon Chan Young Tackles Contrasting Dual Roles In "High School Return Of A Gangster"
Upcoming drama “High School Return of a Gangster” has unveiled its first stills!
“High School Return of a Gangster” is a fantasy drama which tells the story of a gangster whose soul accidentally enters the body of a 19-year-old high school student. Having wanted to go to college, he builds a new friendship with a student who suffers from domestic violence and punishes perpetrators with his skills.
Yoon Chan Young plays dual roles as both the 19-year-old high school outcast Song Yi Heon as well as 47-year-old gangster Kim Deuk Pal who possesses Song Yi Heon’s body. The newly released stills highlight the stark contrast between the two characters.
Song Yi Heon, with his long hair and downward gaze, exudes a gloomy atmosphere. As an outcast at school, he has no one to lean on.
However, after Kim Deuk Pal enters his body, Song Yi Heon transforms, exuding a commanding presence with his piercing gaze. The weak and dull image of Song Yi Heon is completely gone, replaced by an overwhelming aura that can instantly dominate his opponents.
The production team praised Yoon Chan Young for his perfect immersion into the characters of Song Yi Heon and Kim Deuk Pal right from the first shoot, surprising all the staff on set. Sharing anticipation for Yoon Chan Young’s fully integrated performance, the production team asked for much interest and affection for this drama.
“High School Return of a Gangster” will premiere on May 29 through Wavve, TVING, and Watcha.
