"Resident Playbook" Reported To Postpone Premiere To Next Year + tvN Briefly Comments
The premiere of tvN’s “Hospital Playlist” spin-off drama “Resident Playbook” may be further postponed.
According to SPOTV News, “Resident Playbook” starring Go Youn Jung, Kang You Seok, Shin Si Ah, and more will be reportedly postponed until next year.
The report detailed that following the broadcast of tvN’s current on-air weekend drama “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon,” “The Auditors” is slated to air as the follow-up drama. Afterwards, tvN’s broadcast schedule consists of Jung Hae In and Jung So Min’s “Mom’s Friend’s Son” (literal title), and “Jung Nyeon” (romanized title) starring Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, Ra Mi Ran, and Moon So Ri. The end of the year will feature Joo Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi’s “Love on a Single Log Bridge” (literal title).
On May 16, a source from tvN briefly addressed the report, clarifying, “The broadcast period of ‘Resident Playbook’ is undecided. The follow-up tvN Saturday-Sunday drama to ‘The Midnight Romance in Hagwon’ is ‘The Auditors.'”
Initially, “Resident Playbook” was slated for release in the first half of the year. However, concerns arose following the wave of mass resignations among medical residents, causing significant staffing shortages in major hospitals. Earlier in March, tvN announced the initial postponement of the drama, stating at the time that it will air in the latter half of the year.
