tvN’s “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” has released behind-the-scenes stills of its stars!

Helmed by director Ahn Pan Seok of the hit drama “Something in the Rain,” “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” is set against the backdrop of Daechi, a neighborhood known as the epicenter of private education in Korea due to its high concentration of hagwons (private educational institutions).

The first set of newly released cuts from the drama depict the leads’ initial encounter, where the daring high schooler Lee Joon Ho (Wi Ha Joon) casually calls Seo Hye Jin (Jung Ryeo Won) “noona.” Contrasted with the present, their first meeting at the modest “Daechi Chase” classroom, from Seo Hye Jin’s confidence as a hagwon teacher to Lee Joon Ho’s playful antics, instantly pulls viewers into their unique story.

Later, Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho reunite after 14 years, and they share an intense conversation that is seemingly different from and yet reminiscent of the past. Lee Joon Ho has now returned as a man who can fluster Seo Hye Jin, marking an intriguing development in their relationship.

The scene where Seo Hye Jin offers practical advice to her colleague Lee Joon Ho was convincingly depicted by Jung Ryeo Won and Wi Ha Joon, who skillfully capture subtle shifts in their characters’ emotions. Even during filming breaks, the serious expressions of the two actors, who remain engrossed in their emotions while sharing ideas with one another, reflect their dedication to their performance.

In the heartwarming behind-the-scenes stills, Jung Ryeo Won and Wi Ha Joon both wear bright smiles, with their camaraderie creating a welcoming and cheerful vibe on set.

Meanwhile, the drama’s production team shared, “Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho, who are now working together daily, will become intertwined in each other’s lives. Stay tuned for the exciting changes ahead.” They added, “As emotions heighten, the chemistry between Jung Ryeo Won and Wi Ha Joon will shine even brighter as the story unfolds.”

The third episode of “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” will air on May 18 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
