Nam Yoon Su Boldly Takes Life Head-On Through 4 Pivotal Love Stories In New Drama "Love In The Big City"
The highly-anticipated drama “Love in the Big City” has just premiered!
Based on the bestselling novel by Park Sang Young, “Love in the Big City” is a carefully crafted drama that blends comedy, classic romance, and romantic comedy. The series follows young writer Go Young (Nam Yoon Su) as he navigates the ups and downs of life and love, with the script adapted by Park Sang Young himself to capture the original’s charm.

“Love in the Big City” takes a unique approach to storytelling, with four directors each portraying two episodes that come to tell one big overarching story.
Episodes 1 and 2, titled “Mi Ae,” are helmed by director Son Tae Kyum who received the third-place La Cinef award at the Cannes Film Festival for “Night Flight.” The episodes focuses on Go Young’s first love Kim Nam Gyu (Kwon Hyuk) as well as his close friend Mi Ae (Lee Soo Kyung).
Episodes 3 and 4, titled “A Taste of the Universe in a Piece of Rockfish,” are helmed by director Heo Jin Ho of the Korean romance film “Christmas in August.” The story follows Go Young’s second love with Noh Young Woo (Na Hyun Woo) and delves into his relationship with his mother (Oh Hyun Kyung), whom he learns has cancer.
Director Hong Ji Young of “Marriage Blue” helmed episodes 5 and 6, which is also titled “Love in the Big City.” In the third story, Go Young meets his true love Gyu Ho, who is portrayed by “All of Us Are Dead” star Jin Ho Eun.
Finally, episodes 7 and 8, titled “Vacation in the Late Rainy Season,” is helmed by director Kim Se In. The story introduces the mysterious William Habibi (Kim Won Joong).
“Love in the Big City” recently premiered all eight episodes on October 21.
