JTBC’s upcoming drama “The Tale of Lady Ok” has shared a new glimpse of Lim Ji Yeon’s character!

“The Tale of Lady Ok” follows the intense survival con game of runaway slave Goo Deok Yi (Lim Ji Yeon), who assumes a false identity, and Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), who risks everything to protect her. After escaping from her abusive master, Goo Deok Yi unexpectedly winds up taking on the identity of Lady Ok Tae Young and faking her name, social status, and even her husband.

Born to slave parents, Goo Deok Yi had her social status decided for her at birth. However, she was also born quick-witted and exceptionally clever, and she uses her intelligence to placate her cruel but dim-witted mistress during her years as a slave.

Newly released stills from the drama capture Goo Deok Yi suffering abuse at the hands of her violent master. Although Goo Deok Yi dreams of running away and living with her father by the seaside, her reality is very different. After looking shocked, as if she has just been discovered by a predator, Goo Deok Yi winds up on the cold ground with blood on her face.

Later, the bruised and battered Goo Deok Yi ends up on the mountain without a coat on a cold winter day, piquing curiosity as to why she is wandering outside in the falling snow.
