Kim Sung Cheol Apologizes For Recent Action On Social Media
Actor Kim Sung Cheol apologized after a recent incident in which he participated in a poll linked to controversial content involving female idols.
Kim Sung Cheol was recently identified as a participant in a poll conducted by an Instagram account that shares slow-motion videos of female idol performances, which many deemed as inappropriate and offensive to the artists.
On February 3, a representative from Kim Sung Cheol’s agency Story J Company, acknowledged the mistake in a statement to a media outlet. The spokesperson said, “He recognizes the wrong caused by this careless action. However, it’s not true that he followed or consumed content from the account, as suggested online. After realizing the account was controversial, he canceled his vote.”
The representative also expressed regret over the impact on other artists, saying, “It seems the issue affected other artists, and we feel deeply sorry for that. We have already apologized to their agencies.” The agency added, “This incident was caused by carelessness, and we will be more careful with social media activities in the future to avoid repeating the same mistake.”
