The upcoming drama “Mother and Mom” (literal translation) has unveiled new stills showcasing the mothers of Daechi District!

“Mother and Mom” follows working mom Lee Jung Eun (Jeon Hye Jin), who asks her mother, Yoon Ji Ah (Jo Min Soo), to give her daughter Seo Yoon (Kim Sa Rang) rides to academies as the girl prepares for the “7-year-old exam” (an entrance test for top English-language academies). Set in the cutthroat education hub of Daechi District, the drama takes a humorous yet thought-provoking look at the intense world of early childhood education and the pressures of private tutoring.

The story delves into the lives of a diverse group of parents navigating this competitive environment. Some mothers fight fiercely for their children’s future, while others are swept into the district’s high-stakes academic race by outside pressure. Their struggles are expected to resonate with audiences and draw them into the narrative.

To give a glimpse of these compelling characters, the production team released new stills showcasing mothers found at Daechi District.

At the heart of the story, Jung Eun and her mother Ji Ah navigate the district’s academic culture together. Determined to ensure Seo Yoon’s success, Jung Eun does whatever it takes. When her babysitter unexpectedly quits, she turns to Ji Ah for help with academy drop-offs and pickups. Thrust into this competitive world, Ji Ah takes an unconventional approach to Seo Yoon’s education, shaking up the dynamics among the other mothers.

Ho Kyung (Park Bo Kyung), known as the “Supermom,” is a figure all mothers look up to. She believes academic performance defines a child’s success in life. Her son, Min Ho, is a well-known English prodigy, more commonly called Tommy. As Tommy’s mom, Ho Kyung dominates the English academy scene, injecting tension into the story.

Jason’s mom (Song Yoo Hyun) ranks second among the parents and serves as Ho Kyung’s devoted right hand, always at her beck and call. Despite Jason’s lack of academic talent, she is obsessed with his education.

Annie’s mom (Go Woo Ri), ranked third, is an opportunist constantly scheming to take Ho Kyung’s left-hand position.

Mi Chun (Kim Kwak Kyung Hee) is a grandmother who has stepped in to handle her granddaughter’s academy drop-offs and pickups. With years of life experience, she quickly learns how to navigate the competitive world of Daechi District moms. Along the way, she meets Ji Ah, and the two bond as Mi Chun shares her best tips for managing the routine.

Ji Sook (Park Soo Yeon), once Jung Eun’s colleague, left her job to become a full-time mom. She understands the challenges of working mothers and remains a supportive friend to Jung Eun.
