2. A corporate war without gunshots
M&A (mergers and acquisitions) is a key component of modern capitalism, a powerful force that can either save or bankrupt companies. At the core of “The Art of Negotiation” lies the cutthroat world of corporate negotiations, with high-stakes deals shaping the fate of entire organizations.
In the drama, Yoon Joo No (Lee Je Hoon) is tasked with leading negotiations using his calm, calculated judgment and sharp insights. However, he won’t face these challenges alone. His team includes Oh Soon Young (Kim Dae Myeung), whose empathetic abilities offer a different perspective, Kwak Min Jung (Ahn Hyun Ho), who brings rational judgment to the table, and Gen Z intern Choi Jin Soo (Cha Kang Yoon).
3. The power struggle surrounding Sanin Group
Sanin Group, one of Korea’s leading corporations, is on the brink of collapse with a staggering debt of 11 trillion won (approximately $7.6 billion). To save the company, CEO Song Jae Shik (Sung Dong Il) hires the legendary negotiator Yoon Jo No to head the M&A team.
However, Sanin Group is effectively under the control of CFO Ha Tae Soo (Jang Hyun Sung), whose ambitions to take over the company put him at odds with Yoon Joo No. As tensions rise, intense emotional confrontations and a sharp power struggle set the stage for the ultimate corporate showdown.
