Park Ji Hoon, Ryeoun, Lee Jun Young, Choi Min Yeong, And More Dish On Portraying Their "Weak Hero Class 2" Characters

“Weak Hero Class 2” has shared another look at the upcoming drama!

“Weak Hero Class 2” will continue to follow the journey of model student Yeon Si Eun (Park Ji Hoon), who transfers to Eunjang High School, still haunted by the trauma of failing to protect his friend. At his new school, he will struggle to survive in his new environment, facing even greater violence while fighting to protect those he cares.

Already, viewers are anticipating the transformations of the star-studded cast with Park Ji Hoon, Ryeoun, Choi Min Yeong, Yoo Su Bin, Bae Na Ra, Lee Min Jae, and Lee Jun Young.

The newly released stills pique interest with the changed atmosphere surrounding Yeon Si Eun at Eunjang High School as he faces new friends and foes. Bearing the pain of having been unable to protect his friend, Yeon Si Eun has once again lost his smile and appears to have reverted back to the state he was in before he met Ahn Su Ho (Choi Hyun Wook). His intense gaze as he pulls out a pencil case previews his struggles at his new school.

Park Ji Hoon shared, “I thought a lot about if Yeon Si Eun will be able to make friends again and how to express the flow of meeting them. I worked hard to portray Yeon Si Eun’s desperation through my gaze.”

Ryeoun will take on the role of Park Hu Min, a just leader in charge of order at Eunjang High School. Known for his great strength, he will approach Yeon Si Eun with his friendly personality, teaming up with Yeon Si Eun to protect their friends from violence.

Ryeoun, who gained 10 kilograms (approximately 22 pounds) to portray the role of Park Hu Min, shared, “Park Hu Min is a character with strong personal beleifs.” He continued, “The friendship of the kids who stand up against greater violence in order to protect their friends really touched me. In particular, I was charmed by Park Hu Min’s warm heart and the way he is overflowing with justice.”

Choi Min Yeong plays Seo Jun Tae, a surprising underdog at Eunjang High School. He gains the courage to fight for the first time after seeing Yeon Si Eun stand against violence. Choi Min Yeong shared, “Although he seems weaker than anyone else, I worked hard to find Jun Tae’s strength that provokes even the strongest characters.”

Furthermore, Lee Min Jae will play Park Hu Min’s loyal and close friend Go Hyun Tak. He shared, “I personally worked hard to prepare the action scenes that I’m confident in,” raising anticipation for his character’s background as a former taekwondo athlete.

Yoo Su Bin, who plays Eunjang High School’s source of information Choi Hyo Man, shared, “Choi Hyo Man is like a bratty seven-year-old,” drawing interest for his character.

Bae Na Ra will take on the role of Na Baek Jin, the leader of the gang alliance threatening Yeon Si Eun and his friends at Eunjang High School. Bae Na Ra shared, “Na Baek Jin has a sharp mind and great fighting skills. I put lots of research into an action style that is fast and light but lands a hefty blow.”

Furthermore, Lee Jun Young, who recently captivated audiences through “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” will portray Geum Seong Je, a free-spirited soul who is not loyal to anything or anyone but only chases after “fun.” Geum Seong Je’s chilling smile raises anticipation for Lee Jun Young’s portrayal. The actor further explained, “He is such an unpredictable character that his nickname is ‘slave to adrenaline.'”
