"The Haunted Palace" Premieres To No. 1 Ratings As "Crushology 101" Hits All-Time High For 3rd Episode
SBS’s new drama “The Haunted Palace” is off to a strong start!
On April 18, the highly-anticipated fantasy romance drama starring BTOB’s Yook Sungjae and WJSN’s Kim Ji Yeon (Bona) premiered at the top of its time slot. Not only did “The Haunted Palace” take first place in its time slot across all channels, but it was the most-watched miniseries of the entire week.
“The Haunted Palace” also premiered to higher viewership ratings than its predecessor “Buried Hearts,” the hit drama that previously occupied its time slot. According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “The Haunted Palace” scored an average nationwide rating of 9.2 percent. (For comparison, “Buried Hearts” premiered to a nationwide average of 6.1 percent back in February.)
Meanwhile, MBC’s “Crushology 101”—which airs in the same time slot—earned its highest viewership ratings yet for its third episode. The latest broadcast of the new romance drama starring Roh Jeong Eui, Lee Chae Min, and Cho Jun Young rose to an average nationwide rating of 1.5 percent.
Congratulations to the casts and crews of both dramas!
