Wonder Girls’ Yubin’s Surprise Visit Sends Kim Dong Jun’s Unit Into Fanboy Mode In “New Recruit 3”
Two unexpected visitors are about to stir things up at the Shinhwa Unit in “New Recruit 3”!
“New Recruit” is a black comedy drama that delves into the lives of young adults in their 20s, exploring the culture, secrets, and absurdities of South Korea’s military. Season 3 throws Shinhwa unit into turmoil with the arrival of two unpredictable new recruits, the return of a notorious villain, and Park Min Seok (Kim Min Ho) facing an increasingly chaotic path to promotion, filled with more twists than ever.
The newly released stills preview two contrasting visit scenes in Dorm 1 and Dorm 3. In Dorm 1, the surprise visitor is none other than Park Min Seok’s older sister, Park Min Joo (Lee Soo Ji). Park Min Seok looks visibly uncomfortable at her unexpected visit. The sight of him and Choi Il Gu (Nam Tae Woo) freezing in place after Park Min Joo crushes a military biscuit with one hand adds to the humor. Why exactly has Park Min Joo come to visit her younger brother?
Meanwhile, over in Dorm 3, the atmosphere couldn’t be more different. The mood is bright and full of excitement thanks to a surprise visit from Wonder Girls’ Yubin, who stops by to see Jeon Se Gye (Kim Dong Jun). Ever since Jeon Se Gye said he’s close with girl groups, his fellow soldiers have eagerly awaited a visit—and now, their dreams are finally coming true. From Kang Chan Seok (Lee Jung Hyun) staring in awe to squad leader Oh Seok Jin (Lee Sang Jin) shyly blushing, Dorm 3 is bursting with excitement.
The production team shared, “Park Min Joo, who previously fell head over heels for Deputy Squad Leader Im Seong Min (Nam Min Woo), visits her younger brother Park Min Seok—and her reasons will unfold in a fun and unexpected way,” adding, “Please also look forward to Yubin’s surprise appearance, which will bring an extra dose of laughter.”
The next episode of “New Recruit 3” airs on April 21 at 10 p.m. KST.
