3 Moments In The Finale Of 'Heesu In Class 2' That We Waited So Long For

Heesu in Class 2” has come to an end, but hold back your sad tears because so many good things happened in the final episodes.

Confessions were made, and the characters finally got honest with themselves and others. There were definitely a few setbacks, but it all worked out in the end. If your requirement for starting a show is that it has a happy ending, this won’t disappoint. Here are the three biggest moments from the finale that we were so darn happy to see happen.

Warning: spoilers ahead!

1. Hee Su confesses to Chan Young

In the finale episodes, it’s honesty time.

Hee Su’s (Ahn Ji Ho’s) first order of business is to tell Chan Young (Cho Jun Young) how he feels (felt, to be exact). Before this, though, the two besties actually have a little quarrel.

Hee Su takes the first step and tells Chan Young there is someone he likes, but that he isn’t ready to tell him who yet. But Chan Young doesn’t take this well. He can’t understand why Hee Su would keep secrets from him when he tells Hee Su everything. That’s not exactly how it works, Chan Young, but nice try!

Viewers know there is more going on here, but Chan Young doesn’t even know half of it. He lashes out at Hee Su, and he does this with an audience, no less.

At the same time that all of this is going on, there’s an upcoming school festival. Hee Su comes up with an activity that is most definitely inspired by his own personal woes: create a dark room where students can come in and anonymously confess their feelings or problems without any fear. And he decides to test out this activity with Chan Young first.

In a dramatic moment in complete darkness, Hee Su tells Chan Young about his crush on him. But he also clarifies that it’s in the past—he has someone new he likes. Chan Young’s in shock at first, but as Hee Su’s best friend, he comes around to understand him. He even encourages Hee Su to confess to his current crush.

Though Chan Young guilt-tripping a confession out of Hee Su wasn’t really good-friend code, Hee Su nonetheless finally found the courage to be honest with Chan Young in an effort to move on. And Chan Young coming to his senses and not changing how he sees his friendship with Hee Su makes up for his initial reactions.

2. Hee Su opens up to his family

Along with confessing to Chan Young, Hee Su finds even more courage to open up to one of his sisters in a cute heart-to-heart conversation at his at-home rooftop observatory, which seems to be his safe space. His coming out is instigated when his sister casually wonders if Hee Su will ever get himself a girlfriend.

Though his sister is at a loss for words at first, she reassures him that she accepts him and immediately inquires who his crush is, which makes Hee Su laugh. The moment is brief, but it’s easily one of the most heartwarming of the entire series.

As the king of keeping secrets, it was nice to see Hee Su finally opening up and accepting himself.

3. Hee Su and Seung Won get together

Probably the biggest “OMG, finally” moment in the finale had to be Hee Su and Seung Won (Lee Sang Jun) confessing their feelings for one another.

After basically an entire show long of Hee Su and Seung Won trying to figure each other out, mixed with lots of miscommunication and failed confession attempts, it was equal parts painful and cute to see these two come together.

The boys get their confession moment in the finale episode, and everything that’s been going on is put out into the open.

Fittingly so, the two share their moment of honesty under the starry night sky.

The only complaint would be that their time as an actual couple is too short compared to their almost endless back-and-forth mix-ups to get there. But hey, they made it either way, so it’s a win.

May Hee Su and Seung Won watch the stars together for a long, long time.
