Kim Hye Ja Is In Danger Of Being Hellbound In "Heavenly Ever After"
Is Kim Hye Ja headed for hell on “Heavenly Ever After”?
JTBC’s “Heavenly Ever After” is a transcendent new romance drama starring Kim Hye Ja as Lee Hae Sook, a woman who reunites with her husband in heaven after death. Unlike the other residents of heaven—including her husband Go Nak Joon (Son Suk Ku), who has chosen to return to the 30-something version of himself—Lee Hae Sook makes the unusual choice to keep her 80-year-old appearance.
Spoilers
Previously on “Heavenly Ever After,” the identity of Som Yi (Han Ji Min) remained a mystery. When Go Nak Joon heard about a runaway from hell, he suspected Som Yi, but Lee Hae Sook was convinced that Som Yi was none other than Lee Young Ae (Lee Jung Eun). However, the runaway in question turned out to be someone else, and the latest episode of the drama ended with a glimpse of the real Young Ae in hell.
In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Nak Joon stares at Hae Sook’s purple grapes with a grave expression. As Hae Sook has been racking up these warning grapes at an alarming speed, she is seemingly in serious danger of being kicked out of heaven and sent to hell.
Another photo captures Hae Sook in an unfamiliar place that looks nothing like heaven, raising the question of whether she has truly found herself at the gates of hell. Pictured in the same place is Young Ae, piquing curiosity as to whether the two will finally reunite in the afterlife.
The “Heavenly Ever After” production team teased, “Even during her rehabilitation, Lee Hae Sook will ultimately wind up receiving the final grape. Just as she was already warned, it will become difficult for her to continue her life in heaven.”
“Just like heaven, hell will be depicted with infinite imagination, in a new way that has never been seen anywhere else before,” they continued. “Please tune in to see which sins are punished in which ways in our merciless hell.”
To find out what hell is like—and whether Hae Sook will wind up there—tune in to the fifth episode of “Heavenly Ever After” on May 3 at 10:40 p.m. KST!
