“Pump Up the Healthy Love” has unveiled new stills ahead of tonight’s episode!
“Pump Up the Healthy Love” is a romantic comedy starring Lee Jun Young as passionate gym owner Do Hyun Joong, a former bodybuilding champion who drastically changes the lives of his gym members. Apink’s Jeong Eun Ji plays Lee Mi Ran, an assistant manager at a travel agency who joins his gym to get over a recent breakup.
Spoilers
Previously, Hyun Joong had gone all-in to save his struggling gym. His strategy paid off when he successfully trained new member Kang Cheol Nam (Jo Jung Chi), drawing in more clients and earning a hard-fought win. Meanwhile, Mi Ran—who had quit the gym after a humiliating encounter with her ex—also made a return.
Newly released stills tease a humorous yet telling moment: Hyun Joong, known for swearing off fat and preaching clean eating, suddenly throws caution to the wind and devours fried chicken like a man starved. His uncharacteristic binge raises questions—why has the clean-eating champion abandoned his chicken breasts for a greasy mukbang? Meanwhile, Mi Ran looks downcast in front of the same meal, suggesting she’s wrestling with her own emotional turmoil.
In other scenes, tensions escalate between Hyun Joong and Rosa (Lee Mi Do) in a showdown over the gym’s future. Their clash takes a dangerous turn when Rosa is injured in an unexpected accident, sending shockwaves through the gym. Trainer Alex (Lee Seung Woo), the regulars, and the self-dubbed “Witch Trio”—Im Sung Im (Park Sung Yeon), Yoon Boo Young (Lee Ji Hye), and Park Dool Hee (Hong Yoon Hwa)—witness the dramatic scene in disbelief. When Hyun Joong delivers a firm “I’m going to have to ask you to leave” to Rosa, it signals a possible turning point in the gym’s fate.
The next episode of “Pump Up the Healthy Love” will air on May 8 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
