Kim Ji Yeon’s agency is taking firm steps to protect the artist from online abuse.

On May 12, Kim Ji Yeon’s agency issued an official statement, announcing plans to pursue legal action against malicious online behavior.

The agency’s full statement is as follows:

Hello, this is KINGKONG by STARSHIP.

We have recently confirmed the indiscriminate spread of malicious posts and comments—including the dissemination of false information, slander, and personal attacks—targeting our artist Kim Ji Yeon across social media platforms and online communities.

Such actions are clear violations of the artist’s rights and dignity and constitute illegal behavior. In response, our company will take strong legal measures based on legal procedures, without leniency or settlement.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and do our utmost to protect our artist from further harm.
