
Hyungwon Becomes 5th MONSTA X Member To Be Discharged From The Military
MONSTA X’s Hyungwon is back after completing his military service!
On May 13, Hyungwon was discharged from the military after one year and six months of service at the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division in Gapyeong County.
Hyungwon enlisted back in November 14, 2023 as an active duty soldier, being recognized for his diligent and exemplary service and earning an early promotion to corporal.
Along with photos marking his return, Hyungwon posted the message, “MONBEBE, I missed you. Thanks to MONBEBE who waited for me, I was able to finish my service in good health. Let’s see each other for a long time going forward, MONBEBE.”

Previously, MONSTA X’s Shownu, Minhyuk, Joohoney, and Kihyun were discharged from the military, making Hyungwon the fifth member to complete his military service. Following his discharge, Hyungwon is gearing up to host the Asia Star Entertainer Awards (ASEA) 2025. MONSTA X will also be celebrating their 10th debut anniversary as well as performing at KCON LA 2025.
