Namkoong Min Transforms Into A One-Hit Wonder Film Director In New Drama “Our Movie”

SBS’s upcoming drama “Our Movie” has unveiled the first glimpse of Namkoong Min’s character!

“Our Movie” tells a poignant love story about Lee Jae Ha (Namkoong Min), a film director with no future, and Lee Da Eum (Jeon Yeo Been), an actress who lives each day as if it is her last.

Namkoong Min plays Lee Jae Ha, a director hoping for a comeback. The son of a famous filmmaker, Lee Jae Ha was once hailed as a genius after his debut film became a major hit. But now, plagued by self-doubt and convinced his past success was an illusion, he has gone five years without creating a new project.

After years in the shadow, Lee Jae Ha decides to remake his father’s greatest masterpiece—a film centered around a terminally ill character—following the encouragement of a close producer. With his return to the director’s chair, anticipation is building around what kind of masterpiece he will deliver.

Newly released stills show director Lee Jae Ha fully immersed in his work. Wearing headphones, he focuses intently on scenes playing on a monitor. In another still, he holds auditions to find the perfect actors for his film, showcasing his talent once again after five years. The sparkle in his eyes on set reveals his deep passion for filmmaking.

Expectations are high for Namkoong Min’s performance as Lee Jae Ha, a man fighting for a second chance at life. Namkoong Min is known for his versatility across genres—from romance and thrillers to action—and his remarkable ability to fully embody each character. With this role, he’s expected to once again leave a lasting impression on viewers.

The production team said, “Lee Jae Ha is a character who goes through a wide range of emotions—from self-doubt and pressure to a deep passion for film and heartfelt love.” They added, “Every time I see actor Namkoong Min’s performance, which captures all the emotions Lee Jae Ha carries, it feels like the character has stepped right out of the script and come to life,” raising anticipation for the role.
