1. Deprecation of User Login and Article Comment Sections

Effective June 16, 2025 UTC, we will be deprecating user login functionality on Soompi as we are streamlining our service to provide users with the best product possible.

As a result of this change, the comment sections on articles will no longer be available. We understand that the comment sections have been a place for active discussion and interaction, and we appreciate the engagement you have brought to them over the years.

We encourage you to continue sharing your thoughts and opinions on our articles through comments on Soompi’s official social media channels such as X and Facebook.

2. Closure of Soompi Spanish

We will be closing Soompi Spanish, the Spanish-language version of Soompi.com, on June 16, 2025 UTC. Due to various factors, including changing industry conditions, we have come to the difficult decision that it is no longer feasible for us to continue operating Soompi Spanish.

We want to thank our dedicated Spanish-speaking community for their support and readership. We encourage you to continue following Soompi through our main English-language site for the latest news on Korean entertainment. The English-language site provides the same articles as Soompi Spanish, and online translation tools may be used to read these articles in different languages.

3. Closure of Soompi Forums

Soompi Forums will be closing on June 16, 2025 UTC. The forums have been a long-standing part of Soompi’s history, and we appreciate the community that has thrived there. However, with the evolution of online communities and social media platforms, we have made the difficult decision to close the Forums.

We understand that these changes may be disappointing to some users. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work to improve Soompi and provide the best possible experience for global fans of Korean entertainment.
