
"Resident Playbook" Stars Say Goodbye + Thank Viewers Ahead Of Tonight's Finale
The stars of tvN’s “Resident Playbook” have shared their thoughts ahead of tonight’s finale!
A spin-off of the hit series “Hospital Playlist,” “Resident Playbook” is a drama depicting the realistic and relatable hospital lives, growth, and heartwarming friendships of residents at the Jongro branch of Yulje Medical Center.
Looking back on her experience during filming, Go Youn Jung remarked nostalgically, “Every moment [I spent working on] this drama was valuable and precious, so I feel sad and overwhelmed at having to say goodbye. I want to sincerely thank the viewers who gave this drama their love.”
“While playing Yi Young, I, too, was able to learn and grow a lot,” she continued, “and I feel like this drama was another big turning point for me, so I’m grateful. I won’t forget all the love and support you gave, and I will become an actress who can repay [your love] with better acting and projects in the future.”
Shin Si Ah, who made her drama debut in “Resident Playbook,” commented, “It was an honor to have been able to meaningfully wrap up my first drama. All of the time I spent living as Nam Kyung was so happy and precious to me. I’d like to sincerely thank everyone who loved the drama and Nam Kyung, and I will repay you by showing you even better things in the future.”
Kang You Seok expressed his deep affection for his character, sharing, “While playing Jae Il, who knows how to take care of those around him and has perseverance, I gained a lot of positive energy. I met precious people through this drama, and I was also able to grow as both an actor and a person.”
The actor went on, “Even though it was set at a hospital, I think this drama’s story was relatable and encouraging for everyone who is just getting started in the working world or starting something new. I wanted to convey cheerful and positive energy to viewers through this character, and I hope that came across.”
Han Ye Ji showed love for her co-stars by saying, “It was an honor to be able to be a part of this [drama] as Sa Bi, and I was so happy to be together with Yi Young, Nam Kyung, Jae Il, and Do Won.”
She humbly continued, “I worried a lot that I might be a blotch on this wonderful production, but thanks to the help of the staff and production team on set, I was able to wrap things up smoothly. I’m sincerely grateful.”
Finally, Jung Joon Won remarked, “[The time I spent filming] was the happiest and most exciting time of my life, to the point where I don’t even know how the past six weeks flew by. For as long as I live, I don’t think I will ever be able to forget the time I spent living as Gu Do Won.”
“Thanks to the director, writer, cast. and crew who were together with me on this beautiful journey, every moment was precious, and the set was always filled with excitement and gratitude,” he continued. “I hope that all the viewers who gave us love up until now will always be healthy and that their lives will only be full of happy things.”
The final episode of “Resident Playbook” will air on May 18 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
