“Second Shot At Love” Flashes Back To Sooyoung And Gong Myoung’s Sweet College Days

tvN’s “Second Shot at Love” will revisit Sooyoung and Gong Myoung’s past in tonight’s episode!

“Second Shot at Love” is a rom-com that follows Han Geum Ju (Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung), a self-proclaimed “reasonable drinker” who unexpectedly reunites with her first love Seo Ui Jun (Gong Myoung)—a man who despises alcohol—and decides to take on the challenge of quitting drinking.

Previously, Han Geum Ju and Seo Ui Jun returned to their hometown of Bocheon for very different reasons. Following a broken engagement, Han Geum Ju was dragged back home by her mother, while Seo Ui Jun returned to town as the new director of the local health clinic, quickly earning the nickname “God Seo.”

Though now reunited in Bocheon, the two are no longer as close as they once were. Back in high school and college, they were inseparable classmates and drinking buddies, sharing a bond closer than anyone else’s. But their recent encounters have been marked by awkward tension and sharp exchanges, hinting at an unresolved history between them.

Newly released stills offer a nostalgic glimpse into their college days—showing the pair smiling side by side and Ui Jun naturally giving a drunken Geum Ju a piggyback ride, their chemistry exudes a spark that goes beyond just friendship.

In contrast, the present-day tension is palpable. An awkward air hangs between them as they sit across from each other, their expressions and eyes betraying the emotional gap that has grown over time. What drove the once-inseparable pair apart—and can they find their way back to each other?
