Jennie Becomes 2nd Female K-Pop Soloist To Chart An Album For 10 Weeks On Billboard 200
BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s solo album “Ruby” is enjoying an impressive run on the Billboard 200!
On May 20 local time, Billboard revealed that Jennie’s first full-length album “Ruby” had successfully remained on the Billboard 200 (its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States) for a 10th week. The album, which first debuted at No. 7 back in March, charted at No. 192 for the week ending on May 24.
Notably, “Ruby” is only the second album by a female K-pop soloist ever to spend 10 weeks on the Billboard 200, following Jennie’s bandmate Rosé’s recent solo album “rosie.”
Meanwhile, Jennie’s title track “like JENNIE” stayed strong at No. 5 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 6 on the Global Excl. U.S. this week. Jennie’s The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp collab “One of the Girls” ranked No. 46 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 70 on the Global 200, while her single “ExtraL” featuring Doechii took No 170 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
Finally, “like JENNIE” held steady at its peak of No. 32 in its fifth week on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States.
Congratulations to Jennie!
