Cho Yi Hyun And Cha Kang Yoon Strive To Save Choo Young Woo From Predestined Death In New Drama "Head Over Heels"

tvN’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Head Over Heels” has unveiled the first look at the characters played by Choo Young Woo, Cho Yi Hyun, and Cha Kang Yoon!

Based on a popular webtoon, “Head Over Heels” is a fantasy romance about a boy who is fated to die and the young shaman who tries to rescue him from his fate.

Cho Yi Hyun takes on the role of Park Sung Ah, a high school student who leads a double life as a shaman by night. From the moment Bae Gyeon Woo (Choo Young Woo), who is exactly her type, walks into the shrine, Park Sung Ah becomes a living talisman dedicated to warding off misfortune exclusively for him, launching her mission to protect her first love.

Cho Yi Hyun shared her thoughts on reuniting with Choo Young Woo after three years since the drama “School 2021,” saying, “Working with Choo Young Woo again allowed us to create great synergy.” On her other co-star Cha Kang Yoon, she commented, “My chemistry with Cha Kang Yoon, whom I worked with for the first time, was also excellent.”

Choo Young Woo transforms into Bae Gyeon Woo, a character who is plagued by bad luck and was born with the misfortune of a predestined death. Tough on the outside from always battling misfortune, yet warm and caring on the inside, he begins to experience changes in his life after meeting the high schooler shaman Park Sung Ah.

Choo Young Woo also expressed his anticipation, saying, “Having previously worked with Cho Yi Hyun, I was able to rely on her a lot on set.” He went on to praise his chemistry with Cha Kang Yoon as well, adding, “He has a playful personality, so we became close right away.”

Cha Kang Yoon plays Pyo Ji Ho, who fights alongside Bae Gyeon Woo against his fate for the sake of Park Sung Ah. Pyo Ji Ho, who was never interested in romance or other people, grows closer to Park Sung Ah because of her honesty—she neither hides nor disguises her feelings. As he witnesses his best friend Park Sung Ah’s desperate efforts to save Bae Gyeon Woo, he begins to experience unfamiliar emotions and undergoes change.

Cha Kang Yoon commented, “Cho Yi Hyun and Choo Young Woo already had perfect chemistry, so I just focused on blending in well. Thanks to their guidance and support, our teamwork was great.”
