
KBS Briefly Comments On Reported Plans For Upcoming Dramas
Get excited for the upcoming KBS weekend dramas!
On May 21, a media outlet reported that starting this August, KBS will be adding Saturday-Sunday dramas to its programming lineup, aiming to enrich viewers’ weekends at home.
The report also claimed that after “The First Night with the Duke,” a new KBS drama starring Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun and 2PM’s Taecyeon scheduled to premiere on June 11, KBS will temporarily suspend its Wednesday-Thursday dramas and switch to Saturday-Sunday dramas.
Reportedly, KBS plans to kick off its new weekend drama lineup with “Twelve” starring Ma Dong Seok, Park Hyung Sik, Seo In Guk, Lee Joo Bin, and more. Other dramas included in KBS’s weekend drama lineup are “Eunsoo’s Lucky Day” starring Lee Young Ae and Kim Young Kwang, “Last Summer” (literal title) starring Lee Jae Wook and Choi Sung Eun, and “My Beloved Thief” (literal title) starring Nam Ji Hyun and Moon Sang Min.
In response to the report, a source from KBS commented, “KBS plans to implement a flexible programming strategy that spans both weekdays and weekends. We are currently in the final stages of discussion regarding the lineup, broadcast dates, and time slots.”
