Lee Jae Wook, Jo Bo Ah, And More Show Warm Chemistry And Dedication Behind The Scenes Of “Dear Hongrang”
Netflix’s “Dear Hongrang” has unveiled behind-the-scenes stills that showcase the cast’s chemistry and dedication on set!
“Dear Hongrang” is a historical mystery romance that follows Hong Rang (Lee Jae Wook), the long-lost son of Joseon’s largest merchant guild, who returns after 12 years with no memory of his past. As his half-sister Jae Yi (Jo Bo Ah), who spent years desperately searching for him, becomes the only one to question his true identity, an inexplicable emotional bond starts to form between them.
The newly released photos capture both the warm, cheerful energy on set and the cast’s passion for their roles. A particularly endearing shot of the two Hong Rangs—Seo Woo Jin, who plays young Hong Rang, and Lee Jae Wook—flashing peace signs brings an instant smile.
Lee Jae Wook’s charismatic presence on horseback and Jo Bo Ah’s focused expression while monitoring her performance reflect the deep immersion of both actors in bringing Hong Rang and Jae Yi to life.
One rehearsal still captures director Kim Hong Sun guiding Lee Jae Wook and Jung Ga Ram through a tense scene, revisiting the intense on-screen rivalry between Hong Rang and Mu Jin.
Also pictured are Uhm Ji Won, Park Byung Eun, and Kim Jae Wook, all absorbed in their characters even before filming begins, offering a glimpse into the thoughtful preparation behind their memorable performances.
Adding a dash of humor, modern-day items like Jo Bo Ah’s tumbler, Uhm Ji Won’s tablet, and a contemporary hand mirror—clearly out of place in the Joseon era—are casually spotted in the photos, providing a delightful contrast to the drama’s historical setting.
“Dear Hongrang” is out now on Netflix.
