Watch: So Ji Sub Relentlessly Goes After His Brother's Killers In Trailer And Poster For "Mercy For None"
Netflix’s upcoming drama “Mercy For None” has unveiled a new poster and trailer!
Based on a popular webtoon, “Mercy For None” is a noir action drama that follows the story of Ki Jun (So Ji Sub), a former gangster who cut his own Achilles heel and left the underworld behind. 11 years after severing ties with his gang, he returns to uncover the truth behind the mysterious death of his younger brother Ki Seok (Lee Jun Hyuk).
The newly released poster shows Ki Jun with a blank expression, relentlessly striking someone with a clenched fist. The blood splattered across his face and hand hints at his merciless and brutal revenge, while his cold, emotionless gaze perfectly captures his character.
The trailer begins with Ki Jun attending his brother Ki Seok’s funeral and follows his journey of vengeance as he hunts down those responsible for his brother’s death. Not only is Ki Jun armed with his signature weapon, a baseball bat, but he also boasts fierce fighting skills and is willing to use his own body as a weapon.
The trailer then introduces Lee Joo Woon (Heo Joon Ho), the leader of the Joo Woon organization. In one scene, he hints at the harsh rules that govern the group by saying, “Anyone who causes trouble must pay the price.”
Other key characters that are introduced include Koo Bong San (Ahn Kil Kang), the head of the Bong San family; his son and heir, Koo Jun Mo (Gong Myoung); Lee Geum Son (Choo Young Woo), a prosecutor and the ambitious son of Lee Joo Woon; Choi Sung Chul (Jo Han Chul), Lee Joo Woon’s right-hand man; and Cha Young Do (Cha Seung Won), a mysterious figure within the Joo Woon organization.
