SBS’s “The Haunted Palace” has shared a sneak peek of tonight’s new episode!

“The Haunted Palace” is a fantasy historical rom-com that delves into the tale of the Eight Feet Tall spirit that bears a grudge against the king, a female shaman who opposes it, and an evil spirit known as Imugi. BTOB’s Yook Sungjae stars as Yoon Gap, a royal archivist and Yeo Ri’s first love who becomes possessed by an Imugi named Gangcheori. WJSN’s Kim Ji Yeon stars as Yeo Ri, the granddaughter of a powerful shaman who rejects her spiritual powers and destined path.

Kang Chul and Yeori are currently under an unexpected ban from physical contact. After Yeori, with the help of Monk Gaseop (Lee Won Jong), manages to recover the Gyeonggwiseok (a stone that wards off evil spirits) she had lost, Kang Chul—being a supernatural being—finds himself unable to even touch Yeori’s fingertips.

Amidst this situation, the newly released stills capture a romantic moment between Kang Chul and Yeori. Kang Chul is seen embracing Yeori by the waist on a moonlit street. The look in Kang Chul’s eyes as he gazes at Yeori is filled with both excitement and confusion, raising curiosity about what will happen between the two.

On the other hand, Yeori is staring intently at Kang Chul with a tense facial expression. As if she has made up her mind about something, Yeori suddenly grabs onto Kang Chul’s sleeve. Viewers are left on edge as the couple, who has just begun their romance, is forced into an unexpected and ironic separation.

The next episode of “The Haunted Palace” airs on May 23 at 10 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!
