SEVENTEEN Achieves Highest 1st-Day Sales Of 2025 + Tops Melon And iTunes Charts With 'HAPPY BURSTDAY'

SEVENTEEN is topping music charts all over the world with their new album!

On May 26 at 6 p.m. KST, SEVENTEEN made their highly-anticipated comeback with their new album “HAPPY BURSTDAY.”

According to Hanteo Chart, “HAPPY BURSTDAY” sold an impressive total of 2,269,401 copies on its first day of sales alone. Not only did “HAPPY BURSTDAY” achieve the highest first-day sales of any album released in 2025, but it is also the first album of the year thus far to surpass 2 million sales within the first week of its release.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN’s new title track “THUNDER” debuted at No. 7 on Melon’s Top 100—and after steadily climbing up the chart, it reached No. 1 at midnight KST. Including “THUNDER,” six songs from “HAPPY BURSTDAY” entered the top 10, while all of the members’ solo tracks from the album managed to chart in the top 30.

“HAPPY BURSTDAY” also hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums chart in at least 15 different regions across the globe, while “THUNDER” reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs chart in at least 13 different regions.

Additionally, “HAPPY BURSTDAY” topped both Line Music’s Top 100 album chart in Japan and QQ Music’s daily digital best-selling albums chart in China.
